INDUSTRY NEWS: AZZO partners with AlphaStruxure to deploy Energy as a Service at the Brookville Smart Energy Bus Depot

AZZO is proud to partner with AlphaStruxure, Schneider Electric and Montgomery County, MD to support the Brookville Smart Energy Bus Depot.  The depot, built to serve 70 electric buses by 2026, is powered by a leading-edge microgrid consisting of 1.6 MW of solar canopies, 3 MW of stationary batteries and 1.8 MW of natural gas backup generators.  With this new energy asset, the county has a platform to drive toward a zero-emissions fleet while reducing overall energy costs and increasing resiliency.

As part of AlphaStruxure’s Integrate™ platform, AZZO provides the secure IoT monitoring & fully redundant network infrastructure, system integration engineering, and managed services that keep the microgrid performing safely and securely. All DERs, electrical distribution control, protection and networking devices are integrated into a single pane of glass providing the NOC operations teams with a central portal to manage and maintain the Energy as a Service.
